Where to start with integrating AI and machine learning into digital transformation efforts? First, research different approaches to implementing AI and machine learning solutions, and determine which would work for your company.
You also need to ensure that you have access to large datasets to power the AI. Then, it's about building the algorithm. Here you will need a small team,a data scientist, business analyst to determine the right algorithms to use and to interpret the results and drive insights.
Unlike in previous years, when automation was largely owned by proprietary technologies, today most of the AI innovation is happening in the open source world, a lot of the algorithms are all ready out there. CMO's need to work closely with the teams to ensure, this does not become a another 'siloed data project'. Joint investment and joint A/B testing should be an outcome which should be driven from the top down.
